Lichtgrenze (Light Border) was conceived and executed by Marc and Christopher Bauder to mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Using approximately 8,000 large balloons, each one mounted on its own self-powered light post, the Bauder brothers lit a 15.3-kilometer stretch of the former border between East and West Berlin. On November 9, spectators helped release the balloons.
